Album Update

Hey everybody!

Been quite a while since we updated this here blog - and we're doing it now with good reason.

We have tracked for 2 weeks in Woodstock and the East Village and are now in the home stretch of making our debut album. We have two more days of tracking left and then it is on to mixing and mastering - very exciting stuff.

Also, next weekend we will be playing some shows with our friends at The Bullpen in Washington, D.C. We play at 9:30 PM, August 19th and August 20th. So grab a brew, a dog, and a band member's body. Also, we will be playing a 'band crawl' with our friends at LocalHeadphones.com on September 17, at the Clarendon Grill. You won't want to miss it.

Excited to play some new tunes for you guys! See you soon!

Festival Express 2K10

Hey All!

Just wanted to keep our little puppies updated on what the members of everybody's favorite idiot rock and roll fivesome has been up to. First of all, thanks to everybody who made it out to Rock and Roll Hotel this past Friday, it was a lucid dream come true. Speaking of shows, there's a couple industry events we will be performing at in the very near future.

We are playing Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinatti, Ohio next weekend, as well as Dewey Beach Music Conference and of course, CMJ Music Marathon in our home turf of NYC! We are taking an unofficial hiatus from club dates for the rest of the year to focus on writing and making plans to enter the studio to record OUR DEBUT ALBUM! Practice last night went pretty sweetly, we had a cool idea and dug quite a few more out of the archives that we will be devoting our attention to.

Be on the lookout for news about our video for "Trigger Finger Itch", which is receiving some additional baby powdering and spoonfuls of love from our friends at Comedy Central Studios. We are shooting for a late Sept/early October release!

Finally, to all our fans, this has been an amazing year for the band so far, and we're not even close to ending it. We got on FUSE, we will be announcing our MTV DEBUT for "In the Air (Revival)", and Jim will be giving one lucky fan guitar lessons for all of October. Buy a shirt now at the Midnight Spin Store to enter the non-existent raffle!

We will be in touch.

Love,

Midnight Spin

Thanks again to the bands and the Deli Magazine for the great show put on this past Thursday at Public Assembly! We made some new friends and had an amazingly sweaty and successful night, we were told by the magazine that we had the most crowded show of the whole Festival, thanks to all the fans who made it out. Be on the lookout for a future article from these guys featuring Midnight Spin.

We're writing new music. We're booking more shows. We're wearing human clothing again. We're not slowing down, and we don't want you guys to either!
