What's good?

Hey all!

Just bloggin' up a blogstorm here, lettin u guys know what's new. We want to thank everybody for coming to the show at Rose Live Music, and apologies for not starting the set until 2 am. We ended up salvaging the late night though with a great set and want to thank Girth for opening as well. Our next show is the Best of NYC Fest hosted by The Deli Magazine, and we will be harassing everyone to come get as wild as you wanna get at Public Assembly on May 13. We're playing with some talented bands and are very excited to return to North 6th Street for some rocking out.

We also have T shirts being designed, and they are looking pretty cool. Let's just say they have some NYC feel to them and are very interesting. We'll let you know more about them when they exist. Also, we're nominated for Band of the Week by Beatcrave, so head on over to their site and vote for us! Woo!

We're going to be playing up in Boston with a very cool bill at Middle East, and we're excited to play our 4th show in Beantown. May 29, if you're down to groove, come see us.

We've a bunch of other stuff going on, we're coming back to the Bullpen in DC, shooting another music video, we have an article in The Deli Magazine coming out, and we have been featured in Classic Rock UK Magazine! Check out their latest issue, in stores.

We also did a photo shoot Saturday with our friend John DeMato, so be on the lookout for new band pics.

We finished a new song last night at practice, and have a couple more being finished. We're looking to record a demo in Maryland at some point this summer, and we will have a more concrete idea of when we are going to do a full-boar studio recording soon.

Thank you guys so much for your support, this has already been an amazing year, and we've got plenty to go!

Midnight Spin leaves NYC

Hey kids,

We are in the midst of an East Coast love triangle. We played the sold-out Harper's Ferry this past weekend in Boston, and it was an amazing time. On the way to Massachusetts we blew out a tire on our van, which was subsequently towed during the middle of our set, and we rocked the venue with a great show and got a bunch of new fans! It was most definitely chalked up to fun.

This weekend we are playing at the Shamrock Out! Benefit for ALS at Gin and Tonic in Washington, D.C. There are close to 400 people already pledging to be there in green; we are expecting absolute madness.

Finally, the music video for "In the Air (Revival)" is done! Finished. Completed. And set to be released to an NYC audience...

...stay tuned for details.

Midnight Spin on ESPN! We were the music for a montage for the Philadelphia Eagles on Mike and Mike in the Morning. We're told the clip has not seen its last days on air - so be on the lookout for it! Thanks!

Midnight Spin Meets Guns N Roses

So we rocked out the Varvatos' gig in Manhattan, big time. Our set was cut down but I got to meet Axl Rose after the show, which is pretty unreal. He looked like Peter Fonda in Easy Rider and he was talking to Rachel Hunter, the "Stacey's Mom" chick who used to be married to Rod Stewart. Sebastian Bach was hanging out too...we had a lot of fun during Guns N Roses and Alberta Cross, and it was an absolute blast playing the afterparty. Stay tuned for some more pics from our man Jake.

Also, make sure you join us on 26th for our gig at The Delancey! We will be celebrating Jim's Bday, 26 on the 26th! 7 bucks, great time, huge afterparty - an event that we are becoming quite accustomed to.

"It's All Happening"

Hey there children!

Midnight Spin just got back from mtvU's editing room, where we screened a cut of our upcoming video for "In the Air (Revival)". We are looking to get it out as soon as possible, and then as far out into the world as possible. Few other things coming up:

1. 2/11 - Special performance by Midnight Spin @ John Varvatos' Fashion Week After Party.

We will be playing at a fashion industry show tomorrow night in the basement of what was formerly the legendary punk rock venue, the one, the only, CBGB. We are excited to be a part of this exciting event and we will have some photos as soon as possible.

2. 2/26 - Jim's birthday show @ The Delancey.

Come check us out, we will be playing at 10 pm, debuting new music, celebrating Jimmy's birthday, and enjoying the drink specials and late-night dance party after the bands! We will be playing with heylady and are currently booking the rest of the lineup. $7, come watch Jim black out.

3. 3/6 - Boston, Massachusetts - Harper's Ferry Welcomes Back Midnight Spin

March 6, the band returns to Boston, hometown of our very own Jeremy Cohen. We're anticipating a sellout crowd, and are joining up with some of Jeremy's high school buddies in the band Richard James, among other great acts. Expecting a huge turnout for the homecoming of keyboard prodigy.

4. "In the Air (Revival)" - Music Video Release Party, TBA

After just getting back from MTV's editing room, the band's mood is incredibly enthusiastic about this new video being released. Stay tuned for more details, and for your patience, we reward you with a few screen shots of the cut we have recently been shown, HERE.

Update - WINNERS of Deli Magazine's Best of 2009 Reader's Poll

Holy shit! Thank you guys so much for helping us win The Deli's Best Emerging Artist of 2009 Reader's Poll! We have never felt so emerging! We will be celebrating at Jeremy's uncle's bar in the West Village, and will also mark the occasion by actually finishing some song ideas and grooving out to some new material ASAP. We are playing the dope ass Cameo Gallery this coming Monday in Williamsburg. We're playing with some punk bands and we take the stage last, so come on out if you're groovy enough to rage on a weeknight in the coolest borough in the coolest city on the coolest planet. The band likes to take in some comedy there at Cameo on Wednesday nights, be sure to check out Big Terrific, it lives up to the title. Thanks again for electing us! We will be using the prizes to cut a new hit single and explore new tones, new zones, and create some ringtones.

Thanks to everyone who came to our DC9 show! We had over 200 people come rock their vertabrae with us and we loved every minute of it! Stay tuned for news about the In the Air music video, the new website, and Midnight Spin being featured on ESPN! Stay sexy!
